ARSENOPYRITE, SIDERITE, QUARTZ AND COOKEITE

PANASQUERA, PORTUGUL

Cookeite covers a lot of this amazing specimen and up

through it appears clear quartz crystals, fantastic metallic

aresenopyrites and wonderful pale beige ears of siderite.

It is a great piece from a really classic area that has

stunning and highly prized pieces over the years. The more

you look at this specimen the better it gets. There are two

small areas of damage which I found. This does not detract

from it's overall majestic impression.

a  dramatic contrast. This piece has been in our collection for

decades. It has no discernable damage.

Truly a classic piece from a classic location.

AMETHYST  DOUBLY TERMINATED

LAS VIGAS, VERA CRUZ, BRAZIL

This is a perfect specimen and one that is truly aesthetic. The largest crystal has a pale amethyst termination at one end and at the other a spray of finer crystals formed. They are so pale as to appear almost pink and makes a

very nice combination of soft colour. The micro spray near the tip of the almost vertical crystal is actually 2 crystals growing at an

opposite angle to third middle one. This really is a great little specimen from our showcase.

SIZE: 50mm L x 19mm W x 21mm H

Price: $ 75   ITEM NUMBER:  WM 312

APOPHYLLITE, PREHNITE & CALCITE

BOMBAY  QUARRY,  BOMBAY, INDIA

This is truly a magnificent specimen of large cabinet size.

Clear rectangular blocks of almost transparent apophyllite are

perched atop at amazing angles, and in amongst long tall

encrusted prehnite fingers which glisten and sparkle with the

sheer complexity of crystal forms all over this piece. It is a

pristine white display of  real beauty. Photographs cannot

capture it well enough to do justice. Time must be taken to

really appreciate the wonderful  attributes of this piece. I could

find no damage. SIZE:190mm W x 108mm D x 61mm H

VANADINITE

ACIF MINE CHANTIER, BOULMAADE,MILBLADEN, MOROCCO

AMETHYST SCEPTRE ON QUARTZ CRYSTAL

MINAS GERAIS, BRAZIL

A pale sceptred terminated "half-tip" sits on a translucent quartz crystal which has many

parallel crystals around its base and behind it also. The little protrusion you

can see on the right hand side top is actually a tiny thin tabular crystal

growing at 90deg.  An unusual growth of quartz and a very interesting one.

No damage.

QUARTZ CRYSTAL

IRIAN JAYA, INDONESIA

This crystal has many striations and is quite clear for the most part. The tip is intact and there is no damage discernable. There has been another mineral included at some time in one spot as there is a small telltale hole which could have been tourmaline or beryl possibly?

An unusual locality to join your collection of quartz.

SCHORL  (TOURMALINE)

ERONGO MOUNTAINS,

NAMIBIA, AFRICA.

This really stunningly beautiful grouping of black glossy schorl features a very large main crystal about 42mm long with others

either intersecting, growing  parallel or at angles from it. Like most things it is far nicer in person. There are 3 nicks on the entire piece which do not greatly detract from it's overall impressive appearance. A great example of this very aesthetic mineral from a highly soughtafter location.
