AZURITE & MALACHITE

                                   SIR DOMINICK MINE,

                                   ARKAROOLA, SOUTH AUST.

This amazing specimen from the renowned Sir Dominick Mine is  a  real beauty. It is nicely set out with crystals growing in all directions, making it hard to choose an aspect to photograph. The entire surface emmanates a microscopic texture producing a wonderful sheen all over. The contrast of rich dark blue with deep green is always a joy to see from this locality, as I hope you can see in the photos.

CANDLEWAX  QUARTZ

RUMSBY'S MINE, THE GULF, N.S.W

This specimen exhibits the many parallel growths and soft sheen sparkling of the crystals renown from this location. The right hand picture shows where a long beryl xl now gone, was growing at one time, which is also the case with other such holes on the side and base area and which is so very typical from here. Overall its condition is very good, with a very minor contact on the tip. The semi-translucency of the crystal core is evident at the base of the rear where the crystal was detached from the original matrix. This is a really nice specimen of candlewax quartz and well worth adding to your collection.

JAPAN LAW TWIN  RUMSBY'S MINE, THE GULF. N.S.W.

This one is unusual in that although both the terminations are fully intact, they are quite different. The left hand tip shows that it had ceased          forming like the right hand one and yet has a smaller tip on the termination. Also at the base at the rear of the left hand crystal is another small crystal          growing vertically.          SIZE: 13mm W x 13mm H x 4mm.       PRICE: $40 ITEM NUMBER: AM113

GYPSUM  SPEAR

SWAN HILL.   VICTORIA

This speciemn was in our collection for over 30 years or more and we still think it is rather special. The underside shows a perfect fishtail termination and it is a pale beige/cream all over with tinges of orange. There are so many attributes to this incredible piece, it is hard to describe. I am sure you will not see too many in your lifetime like this from Swan Hill. I have included a second photo to try to capture just how it is on the other side. There is a large crystal form lying parallel on top centre and underneath the end of that is a tiny spray with other crystals emerging next to it.

ANGLESITE ON CERUSSITE

BROKEN HILL  N.S.W.

This specimen is multi-bladed and sparkling allover- so many forms to this complex piece it is hard to choose which aspect of it to display. It's weight testifies to confirm its composition of Cerussite and Anglesite. A very interesting piece from a very famous classic locality and is much better in person.I could detect 2 possible contact points which were quite hard to find and does not detract from the piece.

SIZE:  100mm H x 65mm W x 50mm Front to Back
